Our next day trip was to a great spot on the Clark Fork river that was perfect for kids to play in the sand, and find minnows. Andy was so nice and spent a lot of time helping the kids catch minnows. If only they hadn't chased so many away! I think they did catch one or two though.

Claire loves to change clothes. Don't fold laundry in front of her, because she will just want to wear whatever you are folding. No matter whose clothes they are. She does have a preference for pink though. Here she is in one of the boys' shirts helping me sweep the floor.
In mid-August we got to go to Glacier National Park with some friends. It is beautiful up there. Here we are at Lake McDonald. The water is so clear.

We had a great tent site at the KOA. They combined about five sites into one so we had lots of room. The kids could run around and we didn't worry about bothering our neighbors.

Trying out roasted starbursts. They taste pretty good. The outside gets kind of crispy like a roasted marshmallow. Wouldn't recommend them with braces though. Check out Joe's tongue.

After dinner we got some ice cream. I wish I got a picture of Andy's tin foil dinners. I was too busy eating. They were so yummy!

Day two. We rode the shuttle up to Logan's Pass and set out on the Hidden Lake trail. It is so beautiful up there. Breathtaking at times. I'll admit Beth and I sang "the hills are alive with the sound of music!" Joe chimed in on the ahs of course.

Up at the overlook for Hidden Lake. The picture doesn't do it justice. It took us a while to get there. We definitely had whiny kids by the end. Joe tried to talk us into going down to the lake, but didn't get any takers.

We had such a great trip. They kids slept wonderfully and we had the option of a hot shower! What more could you ask for on a camping trip?
