Lake Tahoe

At the end of August we drove to Lake Tahoe for my niece Heidi's wedding. It was fun to see them and a bunch of other family. You would think Tahoe would be perfect at the end of August, and it is, just not the three days we were there. It was 80 degrees the day after we left. Oh well. No beach time for us.

I didn't get any pictures of the other extended family members that we were staying with, but we did document a hike we went on with my family. We took a walk out to Emerald Bay that overlooks Lake Tahoe. It's so pretty there and reminds me a lot of Montana.

On the drive back we stopped at Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho. We only got out long enough to look in a couple of old (and small) volcanoes. It was pretty cold and windy there too.

We had lots of fun on this trip. It was pretty busy and went by too fast. But we're glad we got to see and visit family. We missed you Sam!
